I have known Veronica for a long time now – since she was in high school actually. She is beautiful person, always happy, laughing & quick with a smile. Documenting her engagement & wedding & now in the new role of mom has been such an honor. Veronica & Bil are so obviously thrilled to be new parents & little Hunter is a perfect addition to their family. Only one week old, Hunter was a dream to photograph – totally sleepy for most of the shoot, just starting to fuss at the end when he was getting hungry. I am so happy for you guys, super congrats & enjoy the photos! The shoot was a gift from Veronica’s sister (Alex) as was the Hungry Catipillar book. Bil wanted to take an old fashioned type shot for fun at the end of the shoot.

Infusion Contemporary Cuisine in Bragg Creek

This gorgeous little restaurant tucked away in a quiet – but easy to find corner of Bragg Creek is so delicious & a great destination for an afternoon drive. The patio in the summer is so relaxing – literally built in amongst the trees & flowers & their Sunday brunch is especially popular. Everything I tried (perks of food photography) was so amazing I had to loosen my belt when we were done!

Little known fact about trish: I was trained by an incredible food photographer, Lisa Preston, when I first graduated from University & I love it when I can put those skills to use – though I do keep in practice shooting a lot of appys, entrees & cakes at wedding receptions as well.

Shannon Glam

I am very happy to share my latest glamour shoot with the gorgeous & naturally glamourous Shannon. Shannon hadn’t been feeling her best for a few days before the shoot & so getting pampered & styled & smiling for the shoot I think really helped to remind her how fabulous she is. Shannon is naturally simply stunning & a total sweetheart! This is not the first time being in front of my camera – you might recognize Shannon from her & Dan’s wonderful wedding in Napa Valley last year. It was so much fun capturing her relaxed beauty & just hanging out chatting. Enjoy the photos.

Welcome Jack Jesse Macleod

Shannon & Mike welcomed little Jack Jesse into their family in March & an easy delivery (as easy as a delivery can be…) & 3 days without crying Jack Jesse was a perfect little angel. He has since made his presence known but was still a beautifully quiet little guy when we took his newborn photos at 9 days old. His older brother Rex – not so much. 2 & a half year old Rex is full of energy, expression & fun & is so excited to have a little brother to play with – once he gets bigger. Shannon & Mike are a couple (& a family) that is very near & dear to my heart. I’ve been photographing them for years now, from e-session to wedding, pregnancy & Rex being born & documenting their lives has been a wonderful pleasure. Lots happens over the years & having these family photos to remember each stage is all you have to hold onto these beautiful moments. Congrats guys & enjoy the photos!

Tisha – glamour shoot

Tisha is a good friend of mine & a lovely person – inside & out. She’s always quick with a smile & the first to show up with a coffee – right when I need it. When I asked her to be a model for me for a glamour shoot, in true awesome friend fashion she agreed without hesitation. Seeing her transformation from everyday to downright stunning bombshell was so much fun & capturing her looking as beautiful as she is to me everyday was amazing. Enjoy the photos my friend. You are so incredibly wonderful – inside & out.

Marcia is a gorgeous girl – even without her hair & make up done – but wow – once her makeover was complete she was even more stunning than ever – total bombshell. Check out this glamour photo shoot – I am loving it! It’s been so much fun photographing all sizes & shapes & ages of women & encouraging & empowering them to feel & look gorgeous. If you’ve ever thought about doing a shoot like this I strongly encourage you to – it’s a very rewarding experience & something you will always have to remember just how beautiful you really are.

Sheila & Neil have been clients of mine for some time, from their wedding, to Kara’s 3 month old shoot & then a fun family portrait when Kara was 1. Funnily enough – I met Sheila when we were in high school together so it has been a real privilege to document some wonderful milestones in her families life. I was so looking forward to meeting the new addition to this beautiful family & 2 & a half year old Kara was equally excited to show me her little sister Alexis, who was the excellent age of 9 days old. Between a bit of feeding & napping Aexis was wonderful to shoot. Sheila & Neil are not all about props & bright colours but prefer the more neutral & natural look & the shoot turned out beautifully with the focus being all about them & their lovely daughters. Congrats guys – enjoy the photos!
