f.8 photography is trish & matt - we are a husband and wife who love being around people in love. The emotions, the intensity & the beauty of life constantly inspires & excites us.

Me, I love dark chocolate, anything turquoise, lilacs & snuggling my 2 beautiful daughters - it's is the best part of my day.

With a BFA in Photography (1997), my background is in fine art & with 13 years of photography experience I am happiest when I make images that capture the connections & emotions between people. Whether it's a bride tearfully slipping on her dress on the wedding day, brand new parents - terrified & thrilled at the same time or a toddler giggling & running chasing bubbles, smiling all the way to their toes - my goal is to capture images that will evoke memories for years to come.

Matt is a big Tasmanian guy who loves beer, a nice wiskey & having a good laugh with friends. He loves being around people, always the first to be there for a friend & the biggest softie ever when it comes to his 2 little girls.

Matt specializes in the photojournalistic side of photography. He brings his Aussie sense of humor, style and unique vision to every shoot. His un-obtrusive approach to photography (lurking) captures moments often missed and adds another perspective and personality to your images.

As a couple we laugh a lot, constantly tease & push each other & wake up every day thrilled to have a carreer that we can enjoy together.

Lovely Leah

When Ina contacted me to capture some 7 month old shots of little Leah I was thrilled. It had been 2 years since I had been over to their place photographing Max when he was just 2 months old & I was looking forward to meeting Leah. She did not disappoint. What a super sweet little girl. Though this was a family portrait we really featured Leah at the wonderful 7 month old stage. Sitting up, 2 teeth on the bottom & deliciously chubby with such striking eyes. Ina had bought a gorgeous pink tutu for the shoot & Leah rocked it. Big brothers Ben(5) & Max (3) were super great & happy to participate in the photos – for a while – then off to play & do more exciting boy stuff.
