I thoroughly enjoy people – I think that’s what draws me to photography. After meeting trish 17 years ago I began shooting weddings & now have taken over shooting most weddings at f8 while trish focuses on the portraiture side. I also teach photography classes! I’ve taught at CPLC (Canadian Photographic Learning Centre), The Camera Store & now at SAIT (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology).
I love being a part of the wedding day. Laughing with the bridal party, goofing around to get a smile from the overwhelmed kids or sitting down with Grandma for a bit of a chat. Every couple is different and so is every wedding. Probably the best compliment I receive from my clients is that I don’t just walk around taking pictures, I get to know who your family and friends are and to celebrate the big day with them. I want to have a great time with everyone and that, I think, is what makes your pictures, your day, so important to me. Like any good Aussie, I also love beer (just so you know) & most likely will offer you one when you come to meet. I am also a big fan of music & often get told to ‘turn it down’ (by my lovely wife) & am currently learning to play the guitar, ukelele, harmonica & dabble on the piano (with dreams of one day getting on stage at my local pub to play in public). But for now, I’ll stick to capturing awesome photos.
