Marian & Matt are two of the sweetest people you could ever hope to meet. When we shot their engagement photo session a few months ago, it took a while for them to warm up to the camera and to relax and be in the moment. On their wedding day, these two love birds were awesome to work with and they truly showed their love and affection towards each other. This is reflected naturally in the beautiful images we captured together.
After the flurry of activity getting ready at their respective parents houses (although Matt and his boys were super laid back) the day began with a Catholic wedding ceremony held at the Canadian Martyrs Church. This was followed by family portraits and some wedding party shots (and more chicken mcnuggets than I have ever seen) at Confederation park. The wedding party then jumped into the limo and we made our way downtown, stopping at some great locations to capture some classic romantic images of Marian and Matt before arriving at the elegant Palliser Hotel for cocktail hour.
Cathy, of Creative Weddings, had the Crystal ballroom looking incredible and the service and dinner at the event were second to none. The reception festivities were non stop all evening with plenty of stories and tales about the happy couple. Marian and Matt surprised guests with a formal first dance that led into a fiery tango and later in the evening, guests were treated to Bollywood performers dancing up a storm and pulling friends and family onto the dance floor with them.
An incredible day for a wonderful couple. Thank you for letting f8 be a part of it. Cheers!
