Tara and Graeme’s wedding at Heritage Park has been a long time in the making. Already having two beautiful children, Isla and Struan, this was an awesome celebration of a wonderful couple celebrating their life together.
Theresa and I started the day with some getting ready shots. Theresa captured Tara and Isla been made up for the big day by the super talented Trena Laine, while I hung out with the lads shooting Graeme and Struan don matching kilts. Struan’s kilt was custom made for the little guy and was a huge hit at the wedding. We then timed out our arrival at Heritage Park to orchestrate a first look with the bride and groom.
It was a smoking hot, Calgary summer day and after a very quick family shoot (kids were not into it!) we walked around the park. It was a relaxing time hanging out shooting the small wedding party and beautiful shots of Tara and Graeme alone.
The ceremony was held in the top level of Gunn’s Dairy Barn with family and friends from all around the world witnessing the their “I do’s” (of course the kids stole the show!). It was important to Tara & Graeme to spend time visiting with their guests after the ceremony while everyone had a few drinks & participated in some “mini highland games” fun on the lawns at Heritage Park.
The reception was in the bottom level of the barn where guests were treated to an amazing spread and the drinks, stories and laughter flowed freely throughout there evening. Back to the upper floor for a fun filled dance with the children, once again, providing more entertainment and loads of laughter from all.
What an awesome day! Thank you guys for an amazing time. Cheers!
